Intermediate School Program

Fourth through Sixth Grade

At Lafayette Christian School, 4th through 6th grade students are served through our Intermediate School.

By providing a bridge between elementary school and middle school, our Intermediate students continue to grow and mature in an academically challenging Christian environment. While still engaging in traditional elementary school activities like recess, elementary chapel, and field day, these students are now changing classes, managing their time, and preparing for the future rigor of a college preparatory education.

Intermediate School Goals
  • Shift responsibility from parent to student through a progressive increase in student expectations.

  • Students begin keeping track of their own schedule, homework, and events via RenWeb and student planners.

  • Yearly increase in content depth and expectation of content application.

  • Teaching students how to study independently.

  • Teaching students how to responsibly integrate technology into the learning experience (student email, Google classroom, etc).
